Our next-door neighbor, Frances, is also a traveling tech and works at the same clinic as Jeff. She had off of work today, so stopped by the apartment and we went out together for a while this afternoon.
First we went to the Hualalai Beach, at the Four Seasons Resort complex,
And then to Kauna'oa Beach (voted best beach in Conde Nast Traveler two times) , where I saw my first honu! *Im not actually sure now that this is the name of the beach. I'll try to get back there again, and update this.
He was just relaxing in the sun and i could walk right up to him!
After that we made a stop at the Hilton Waikoloa Village and took a quick walk around there (Frances wanted to look for some shoes). The place is amazing and they have boat and tram tours and a lot of shopping and most of the stuff is outside, like these statues and waterfalls:

They also have Dolphin Quest there, where you can pay like $250 to swim with a dolphin for 30 minutes, or watch it for free....
We only walked around the hotel for about 20 minutes or so, and then went to the Queen's Marketplace and grabbed a bite to eat.
All together we where only out about 4 hours or so, and didn't stay anywhere very long - just running around and to see where a few things where. Jeff's birthday is tomorrow and we wanted to go to a beach at least for part of the day, so I think this is where we may spend most of the day - I can't wait!
